Birds of Dearborn: An Annotated Checklist (2007)
This is a PDF of my 2007 book, an annotated checklist compiled using over 65,000 bird records spanning more than 30 years. It provides information on over 250 bird species, including residency status, relative abundance, migration dates, and banding data. Much of the data is applicable to the entire metropolitan Detroit region.
Introductory material includes birding locations in Dearborn and on the campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, with maps. Photographs of some interesting bird species are provided. Also included are reprints of five papers published in Michigan Birds and Natural History on birds mentioned in the text, as well as a bibliography.
119 pp. A 6 x 9 inch paperback of this can be purchased for $15 via Lulu Press.
